Occupational Regulation registers auctioneers in New Zealand and administers the register of auctioneers.

Auctioneer registration requirements

Before you can carry out business as an auctioneer, you must apply and be approved for registration.

Auctioneers' responsibilities

To carry out business as an auctioneer you must hold a current registration, or be an employee of a registered auctioneer, and not be disqualified under the Auctioneers Act.

Search the register

To find a registered auctioneer, or to check if an auctioneer is registered, look for the name of the auctioneer or their company name in the auctioneer register.
